Time Lapse Video of Altocumulus with Virga

I’ve at all times sought after to seize this type of cloud as a time lapse. I realized them on my strategy to paintings this morning, and had a digital camera and tripod with me, so this used to be my likelihood.

Those are altocumulus clouds with robust upward movement in them generating precipitation, on this case snow, falling in streaks and now not attaining the bottom (“virga”). They shape when the higher troposphere is volatile, and heat advection (a heat air mass shifting into a fab air mass) produces the uplift.
